Christopher Clay Finley (known as Clay Finley) and Letha Finley (Powell) had 7 children: Wilda,  Bob,  Red,  Hattie (died at 6 months),  Rex,  Dan (Joe) and  Betty

David is the earliest Finley that can be currently traced to our family and was the Father of Daniel Washington Finley. David died of pneumonia in 1862 while serving in the Civil War. Daniel W was only 2 years old at the time of his death.
David and Octavia had 3 children – William, Richard and Daniel
